A son (Sean Penn) wants to be just like his father (Christopher Walken), but most of all would like to earn himself a place in the family business--a national crime syndicate. Together with his half-brother, he forms a gang of his own to gain his dad's respect. However, efforts backfire as the father fears that he is losing control of his organization and his sons.
