In this version of the 18th-century French novel, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Colin Firth plays the handsome Valmont, who takes on a devious Countess' bet that he can get the virtuous wife of an older gentleman to have sex with him. He wins the bet, but inadvertently falls in love with his conquest.
